Miss Malicah,
I couldn't wait to tell you how IMPRESSED I was recently when I sat down with Lucas to teach him the alphabet. I bought some rubber letters that we could play with and was prepared to start slowly and teach him a few at a time. We started with "A" and when I showed him the letter he said "A, for apple". Hmm, I was impressed, he already knew one letter. But as I would soon find out, Lucas knew almost ALL the letters already!! I couldn't believe it. Of course I'd like to believe that my son is a genius for knowing all his letters at only 2 yrs and 3 months old, but I know that it's more likely because you work so consistently with all the children. So, thank you so much for taking the time, caring so much, and being such a great teacher for my son! It shows.

Sincerely,
Michelle Leuschen

In the 'school bus'

hi everyone -
just thought i would send a message and let you know about a great place that my daughter attended for the past year. she attended miss malicah's pre-pre-school in encinitas that cares for 1 1/2 - 4 year old children. it is affordable (food included!), a great transition before preschool and an overall GREAT spot. it's small, clean, fun - my daughter NEVER cried when she went and always asked if she could go to "cool."

i can't say enough great things about it. because she works on referrals i am doing my job to spread the word - feel free to pass on this information to anyone you know who many be interested. if you know someone looking for assistance - please give her a call! malicah is awesome.

hope you're having a great summer!

About Us

Hi, I am Malicah Walsh, ECE (Early Childhood Educator, with emphasis on early childhood learning), and I am the Director of Creating Gifted Children.

Creating Gifted Children was established in 1983 by Lois Kleint, M.A., Ed. to put into operation her unique, experience-based philosophy (read more about our approach on our Philosophy page) for early childhood development. As an apprentice, I worked with Lois until the year 2000, when I began operating the business on my own. As an educated caregiver, I continue to use the same techniques and support the same philosophy as practiced by Lois.

Creating Gifted Children is a unique childcare atmosphere of learning designed especially for the formative years (16 months through 48 months). We are located in Encinitas, California. Our goal and purpose is: to provide a climate wherein each child feels special in their own way; to nurture the wonder and awe of childhood with an environment of stimulation; to enrich the lives of young children during their most crucial years of learning; and to establish positive foundational, life-long patterns for learning.
